Before Townsends of Nantwich was established in 2004 Pete and Kirsty both started out in the Cheshire Fire Service.

In 2004 Pete and Kirsty realised that they needed to address their work/life balance and follow their own passion to work for themselves.

When Pete and Kirsty moved house in 2003 they had an extremely stressful experience where furniture got damaged by a large, impersonal company. After moving, and reviewing their ordeal of damage and what seemed like endless extra charges they saw a gap in the Nantwich removals market for company which took pride and care in their work. So with determination to create a company a head above the rest and a need for a entrepreneurial lifestyle change Townsends of Nantwich was born with all the credentials you would expect from a competitively priced, customer focused family business with a mission to:
